Managing Invoice Templates
After you have been using invoice and quote templates for a while you may feel the need to delete or modify them. See the sections below for complete details on how to do that.
Deleting Existing Templates
Complete the following steps to delete an existing quote or invoice template.
- Determine if the template you want to delete is for quotes or invoices. For quotes, go to the Sales pull down menu and select Quote. For invoices, go to the Sales pull down menu and select Sales Invoicing.
- Click the Activities button and select Load Template to display the Sales Template Search screen.
- Select the desired template and click Delete.
Modifying Existing Templates
Complete the following steps to modify an existing quote or invoice template.
- Determine if the template you want to modify is for quotes or invoices. For quotes, go to the Sales pull down menu and select Quote. For invoices, go to the Sales pull down menu and select Sales Invoicing.
- Click the Add New button to create a new invoice.
- Add a customer to the invoice. You will not be saving this invoice so the customer you select does not matter.
- Click the Activities button and select Load Template to display the Sales Template Search screen.
- Click the desired template and note the name of it. Click the Select button when you are done.
- Modify the contents of the invoice tab as desired.
- When you are satisfied with your changes, click the Activities button and select Memorize Template.
- Select the name of the template you want to replace from the drop down list.
- Click Memorize and select Yes when prompted to overwrite the existing template.
- Click Clear to remove the information from the invoice or quote screen without saving it.
