The installations found on this page will install a version of Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express that is customized to work exclusively with ESC. If you are running ESC version 8.1 or earlier you do not need to install this software at this time. In most cases these downloads should only be installed if directed by ESC Technical Support.

Client & SQL Server
This program will install both SQL 2005 Express and the ESC Workstation client software. There is no way to separately install either of these components using this download. This download is recommended for new installations only. |

SQL Server 2005 Express Only
This program will install SQL 2005 Express as a stand alone application. The ESC Workstation software is not included in this download. This installation is recommended in cases where a user needs to migrate their ESC database to a new Server computer. It will work with either a 32 or 64 bit operating system. |

SQL Server Management Studio Express
This program will install the SQL Server Management Studio Express on your computer. This program is not required for the ESC software to work under normal circumstances and should only be installed at a support representative's request. |

Note: Installing SQL 2005 Express on a computer currently running MSDE 2000 or SQL 2000 will NOT perform an upgrade of your server software. It will simply install a different version of SQL 2005 Express server software that will run side by side with the older version. |
